Hey fam!

So yep, I have transfers today! I am leaving to my new area in Hunter, which is about an hour and a half from my area now, .and all I know is that it is full of steep hills so that will be a blast haha. I am not really sure what is in my future at this point. I packed up my bags last night and am ready to go where the Lord wants me to go! After I drop all of my bags off at my new place, I will be going to the mission home to do training with the president on how to be a trainer, which will be fun. And then I have no idea where I am sleeping haha. But on Tuesday I will be going to the mission home again to go get my new hijita! I haven’t gotten any info on who it will be but we will see I guess! I am a little nervous but no worries, everything will be great!

Yesterday we went around to visit several people and to say goodbye. There was a little miracle that happened yesterday. This week, the family of four told us that they didn’t want to be baptized anymore. I honestly have never been so confused in my life at this point. They were completely ready and all of the sudden they just kind of rejected us and the idea, which was really sad for a while. And we constantly asked ourselves, “What did we do wrong? What else could we have done?” However, yesterday we just had the feeling to stop by just to say goodbye even though they were not getting baptized. And right when I started to say my goodbyes to the whole family, Carmen, the oldest, all of the sudden interjected and said, "Can I and my three other sisters get baptized this Tuesday?" Whaaaa??? I couldn’t believe it. In this moment I learned that we need to trust in the Lord’s timing, even when at times it may seem hard to accept at first. If we put all of our efforts in we can wait in peace until the will of the Lord is brought to pass.

We also visited Vanessa and her partner. They have COMPLETELY changed, especially him. At first I honestly thought that he would never progress. However, I can see his change through the atonement of Jesus Christ. They both remind me of the story of John Tanner. After we taught them about the Word of Wisdom, the first thing they asked was, "Now, how should we get rid of our big bag of coffee?" They have a faith larger than life and they are willing to give up everything in their power in order to come unto Christ. They are getting married this month and I hope that I can get permission from president to go because they want us to be their testigos. They have the goal to go to the temple in their future! It was extremely hard to leave them but I am going to keep in contact with them for the rest of my life!

We also visited Familia Berrio, the less-active family that we helped teach. They are planning on going to the temple this next October to be sealed as a family! Nichole, the one who just got baptized is their daughter. It was such a sacred experience to see the dad do this ordinance. Because for a long time, he has been working with the bishop and us to be able to get to that point and he made it!

Funny story . . . we were walking in a park one day and this man came up to us, greeted us very nicely, started talking to us about religion and he started to get really heated and said, "Anyone who has white skin and blue eyes is from the devil!" Wow. All we could do was laugh it off for the rest of the day!

Well, that was my week! We will see what this week brings me with all of these new changes! But I have peace that everything will be fine because with the Lord, all things are possible! I love each of you so much. I am praying for you each night! Keep smiling!

Love, Jess
